Doreen McPhee from Appin House, Kirkcaldy won the Scottish regional finals of Care Cook of the Year 2006. Doreen beat off the other finalists at a cook off in Fife, with her menu of chicken & mushroom pudding with chive mash and glazed carrots followed by lemon tart served with creme fraiche.
