Care Cook of the Year
We are proud to announce that this is one of the longest standing independent recipe competitions in the UK, challenging people who operate in the care sector to devise new and exciting recipes.

We are looking for a two course menu, main course and dessert, with the combined food cost for both courses to be no more than £1.25, based on four portions.

Scottish Regional Winner 2006!
Doreen McPhee from Appin House, Kirkcaldy won the Scottish regional finals of Care Cook of the Year 2006.

Doreen beat off the other finalists at a cook off in Fife, with her menu of chicken & mushroom pudding with chive mash and glazed carrots followed by lemon tart served with creme fraiche.

Garry Maundrill – Garry Maundrill is the 2006 NACC Care Cook of the Year

Garry who works at The Hollies in Hessle, near Hull had the recipe for success winning the final of the 2006 NACC Care Cook of the Year competition. Garry came up trumps with a menu of Crispy Cod Fish Cakes with tomato salsa, chipped carrots and parsnip and snap peas followed by an exotic fruit smoothie
