To download the full press release for 2007 Click Here This is our vision: The aim of the week is to draw public and government attention to the important role the Meals on Wheels service, organised by members of The National Association of Care Catering, plays in looking after the most vulnerable members of our community – primarily older people. Over 40 million meals on wheels are served annually to about 200,000 recipients. Mayors For Meals will be a great local and national press event, and we want you and your mayor to be apart of it. Here's how to get involved If you would like to contact your mayor via mail, we have provided a Mayors for MOW’s letter for you. All you have to do is fill in the appropriate information and send it to your mayor. All we need from your mayor right now is their pledge to participate in Mayors For Meals. Once you have a letter of commitment (example commitment letter) signed from your mayor, please fax it to the NACC Admin office at 0870 748 0181and your mayor will be added to the Mayors For Meals list. From there, you can invite the press and a number of others to your Mayors For Meals Event on November 8, 2006.
