Geographical area
The region is bordered to the west by the Welsh border, and the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire borders to the east. The northern extent of the region is the northern boundaries of Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire, and to the south the southern boundaries of Hereford & Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
