Business Development Manager - Software

Social/Home Care Sector Full Time Commensurate with experience. Base + commission

Our unique, cloud-based catering, training and lifestyle software manages the complexity of individual diets, linking ‘hospitality’ to ‘care’ to enrich the daily lives of residents.

As the number one care catering software provider in Australia, we need the help of an experienced ‘Jack of all Trades’ to help us reach the next level in the UK.

You will be responsible for the UK operations, including sales, business development, training, implementation and marketing, in collaboration with SoupedUp’s Australian team.

You will be a forward thinker who knows how to nurture and build a sales pipeline, but understands the power of building long-term relationships. One day, you might be presenting a sales pitch to the Board; on another, you’ll be rolling your sleeves up and training care chefs and their food service team.

With strong social care experience and industry knowledge, you have the passion to make a difference to the lives to those in care.

You have the desire to grow with the business and eventually lead your own team.

The role:

  • Devise and implement strategic sales plans to generate new business opportunities
  • Lead generation
  • Demonstrate the software to potential clients
  • Negotiation and closing of new business opportunities
  • Client training and implementation
  • Maintenance of the CRM and general administration
  • Exhibition attendance and event execution
  • Travel will be required
Our ideal candidate:
  • 3+ years B2B development and proven sales experience in the social care industry
  • Care catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Commercially astute who can demonstrate an understanding of budgets and forecasts
  • Highly developed problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work to deadlines
  • Can-do attitude with a creative edge
  • Positive and happy personality
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
