Job Type: Part Time - 30 per week including alternate weekends

We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent Catering Manager to lead the catering team in providing a range of high standard catering services to our residents, staff and visitors.
Providing nutritious meals is a vital part of our care and service delivery and this role will suit an experience Chef, who has experience of catering for older people and a demonstrable background in managing a small team. You will hold a Level 2 Food Safety qualification or equivalent and will need a working knowledge of the dietary requirements of older people, good communication skills, an ability to support, manage and motivate your team, along with financial awareness and a desire to deliver exceptional service.
In addition to hands-on cooking, your key responsibilities will be:
Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen;
Management of food planning and preparation;
Management of budgets, ordering of supplies and stock control;
Provision of 1-2-1 supervision, support and guidance to your direct reports;
Ensuring adherence to:
Health, Safety and Hygiene legislative requirements
Brendoncare’s HACCP system
COSHH regulations within the team
Infection Control procedures
The requirements for Risk Assessment
Brendoncare’s policies and procedures in day to day working
We are looking for someone who has hands-on chef experience and a working knowledge of the dietary requirements of older people.
You will need a Level 2 Food Safety qualification or equivalent.
In addition, you will need to possess good communication skills, have a passion for delivering a great service, an understanding and ability to manage budgets, and previous supervisory experience.
