#AllerJanuary is a national awareness campaign initiated by Julian Edwards of Allergen Accreditation, encouraging food businesses to pause, reflect, and strengthen their approach to allergen management.
With Food Hypersensitive (FHS) customers continuing to grow in number and influence, having clear and robust allergen systems in place is now essential for safety, customer trust, and commercial success.
As part of the #AllerJanuary campaign, Food Allergy Aware has created a
FREE #AllerJanuary Resource Pack to help food businesses review, refresh, and strengthen their allergen management practices.
These free resources are particularly relevant for members operating across hospitality, contract catering, education, healthcare, and care environments.
The #AllerJanuary Resource Pack includes:
- Practical allergen awareness and education tools
- Kitchen and front-of-house best practice guidance
- Labelling, allergen matrices, and communication support
- Free fact sheets, recipes, and supplier directories
- Free access to recorded 2025 allergen webinars, which can be used as CPD training
FreeFrom Cookery Masterclass – 9–10 March
Food Allergy Aware is also running a FreeFrom Cookery Masterclass on 9–10 March, designed to upskill chefs on the best ways to adapt dishes to be inclusive for their FHS customers.
With giveaways, samples, and practical resources included, the classes will be beneficial for anyone looking to increase their market share among food-hypersensitive consumers.
