Preparing and cooking meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks that are nutritious, appetising and ensuring the dietary needs of the residents is adhered to;
Supporting the Catering Manager in catering for special events such as birthdays, themed events etc.
Undertaking general kitchen duties to support the team such as washing up and cleaning;
Ensuring food is stored correctly and “best before” and “use by dates” are monitored.
You will need to have had experience of cooking for a large number of people. Ideally you will have an understanding of the dietary needs of older people, but you will receive training on this.
You need to be able to work as part of a team.
