September 11, 2015: Three years of ongoing work by the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Committee has come to fruition.
The committee is ready to officially launch the final dysphagia diet framework which consists of a continuum of 8 levels (0‐7). Levels are identified by numbers, text labels and colour codes.
A review of existing standards, available evidence and collaborative efforts from stakeholder groups has resulted in a framework that is culturally sensitive, measureable and applicable to individuals of all age groups in all care settings.
