Love British Food believe that it should be celebrated and local producers should be given the support they need to continue supplying the country with the diverse and delicious food we are all used to enjoying.

Currently the public sector purchases £2.6 billion of food every year. It is a giant in the industry and many of our public institutions do a huge amount to support local businesses, but they believe more can be done.

British farmers and producers are of some of the highest quality in the world and have continued their fine work in the most challenging circumstances this year - they deserve our support. The public sector should be taking full advantage of the fantastic produce that is grown on our shores, whilst at the same time pumping money into the local economy and also getting great value for money. It’s a win-win.
